Goodbyes are always hard, literally. Even if you’re just saying goodbye at the end of a busy day and you’re going to friggin’ see each other tomorrow anyway, you find yourself clueless on that particular moment that separates your saying goodbye from scooting over your jeepney home. Naturally, it’s even harder when the goodbye will last longer and God forbid, for good.

Its been two years now since my cousins left for Canada. So much has changed when they got there. Christmases were spent in fewer numbers and needless to say, in the absence of my Tita's good cooking. Summer outings are not so much a necessity and my Grandma's house all-year round is as silent as a newly-built cemetery.
I miss movie hours, impromptu photoshoots, indoor badminton, food tasting, park bumming and whatever with my cousins but we all make our choices and I know that whatever their life is now, it's all the working of the forces of a universe conspiring to make our lives intact and one with our fate.

This is me saying that goodbyes may be hurtful but new beginnings are just right at the corner waiting to be knocked. =D
Cheers to the new week ahead!
